Hey, I got a bit more traffic than usual today. By a factor of a thousand or so!
Thanks to the mega-awesome John Brownlee over at Table of Malcontents for posting about my Steampunk Star Wars series (also, if you go there, you have a 1 in 5 chance of seeing the banner I made for them). Also thanks to the people who reposted the link elsewhere.
Crap, now there are actual people reading this blog. Pressure's on!
UPDATE: Oh geez, I've been dugg. Like, top ten front page style. For perspective, on Wednesday this blog received 4 visitors. Today, as of 2 PM: 27,000. I've been having a pretty bad day, but the overwhelming response to this has helped lift my spirits. Thanks everyone.
UPDATE 2: No sooner do I post that last update than I see I've also been posted on freaking BoingBoing! Bless the blogosphere.

Dear Eric,
And now you've been Dugg.
Love,
Cheeseburger Brown
That is so freaking cool!
You have been bookmarked sir, and I have less than a dozen bookmarks.
When can we expect the animated re-imagined feature length masterpieces at our local multi-megaplex?
I linked to you as well.
DOGPILE ON ERIC!!!
Very cool stuff.
Thanks for the link, by the way.
Magnificent...truly!
Very cool stuff. I will be sending all my Star Wars obsessed friends a link to this blog.
Just for demographics, I found this blog through Dave's Long Box.
Keep up the good work.
Totally blown away. Awesome work.
Boing Boing hit you too. Cool stuff.
yay you! congrats on the popularity, you pretty much deserve it (not that being popular is a huuugee thing, but you know)
Regards!
pd: please make nice piccies of star wars fighters :P or leia`s bombers.
Beautiful stuff!
Very awesome. Very very awesome.
I got here form Boingboing...
Can't wait to see your Boba Fett ;)
Got here from BoingBoing as well. I posted it here at work as well. Maybe George will see it. :-)
I'm here from Dave's Long Box, myself. Awesome, awesome stuff. I hope someone from LucasArts sees this...then again, your idea might be hijacked and horribly, horribly mangled into a sad parody of itself, so y'know what? Maybe indie's the best route to go.
You can't combine Star Wars, Steampunk and blogging, and not expect a lot of web traffic.
Really nice work. I say it would not be pure overindulgence to continue the theme over a few more pieces... please? ;)
I came in from Dave's Long Box. I'm loving the pictures -- thank you so much for sharing them. Can't wait to see more.
Your blog title put a smile on my face -- see, when I was very small indeed, my father was sent on a business trip across the Atlantic to Boston. To make up for the absence, he brought back a couple of books, one of them titled Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day. Now whenever I wake with gum in my hair, there's kissing on TV and I lose my marble down the drain, I remember that some days are like that, even in Australia.

kewl art work. I can't wait to see how you envision the droids and stormtroopers.
Thanks for the comments guys!
David Campbell: Thanks for the link!
Jean-Denis Haas: Wow, thanks man! It's so cool to have people from ILM and LucasArts enjoying my stuff.
Clare: Glad you like the title. Turns out the blog wasn't such a bad idea after all!
chris: Added!
I'm here from "Good Morning, Silicon Valley." Love the title, love the art. Thanks for sharing.
Hey I was wondering if you would be interested in being interviewed about your Star Wars Steampunk art?
If so, please email me back: bonnie@grrl.com
The blogosphere is smaller than we realize...
I am a fan of cheeseburger brown, as well!
Congrats on the recent well deserved pub!
Mucho Kudos!!!
This has to be one of the best, if not THE BEST realization of the Star Wars Universe I have ever seen!! I've always imagined how this or that would be if they were in different settings, i.e. alternate time settings, our own solar system, and things of that nature. I've never actually taken the time to sit down and out my ideas into writing or graphic reality. You have truly inspired me in my 10 year artistic slump. I am not into copying other people's work, and am by no means thinking of copying yours. Like I said earlier, you are truly gifted, and have enlightened myself and obvioulsly, multitudes of scores of other people with your images. Keep up the friggin' AWESOME work, and may it take you further than you've ever imagined.... - Quoth The Ravin -
Your exposure is very well deserved.
